New version of webQUIK — 6.0.2

1 july 2016

ARQA Technologies released a new version of webQUIK system — 6.0.2.

Upgrade of webQUIK 6.0.2 concerned the server’s architecture: the latter is moving towards unification of user administration and simplified use of various applications.

New architecture of server

The new webQUIK has a fully transformed server architecture. Instead of previously employed separate webQUIK server, now there is a server application providing access to the QUIK server through a web interface. This allowed considerable structural simplification of the complex along with increased capacity and scalability.

The new architecture made it possible to transfer web interface users’ rights management to QUIK Administrator.

webQUIK user authorization and their subsequent rights control is enacted directly by the  QUIK server whereas synchronization of webQUIK users’ positions between QUIK servers is done through  the standard application SyncUser.

All transactions of webQUIK users will be available in the database of QUIK server and may be used for all types of reports deliverable by the system.

New functionality

The broker has the option to set up a user profile which will be used by default. A ‘model’ profile will be available to users as they enter the system for the first time.

Also available is the function of confirmation by the broker of client’s orders. Orders from clients whose rights include a ‘work with confirmation’ comdition require broker confirmation before being routed to a trading system.

The table ‘client portfolio’ can now indicate settlement parameters — currency code and settlement tag.

Support of English is available through inclusion of a corresponding module in the QUIK server configuration.

The new interface of webQUIK mobile is substantially different from its previous version and represents a ‘lighter’ version of webQUIK nterface. The choice between the two interface types (webQUIK or webQUIK mobile) is effected by selecting the option ‘Moble mode’ from the desktop. Whenever connection is exercised from a mobile device (smartphone, tab) the mobile mode is activated automatically.
