Middle-office capQORT — solution for asset management companies

The list of capQORT developments in Q2 of 2017:

Pool orders

New functionality

A new field ‘Execution %’ was added to the ‘Order pools’ table. Also the ‘Status’ field was changed: now the field value coincides with the order status which is displayed in the portfolio organizer.

New fields were added to the pool order form to show volume of bid and offer.

The pool orders table may now consist active orders forwarded in previous days.

The new filtering functionality simplifies the choice of portfolios for a certain operation, for example, selection of all portfolios containing a certain instrument in a certain quantity; or selection of all portfolios with a certain instrument for group operations to delete an instrument from a portfolio or reduce its share up to a preset value.

Instruments

New functionality

The ACI for bonds is provided in market data in the par value currency without recalculations in QUIK.

Group operations

New functionality

Wholesale deleting from the ‘Trades’ table is possible for unprocessed trades.

The changes were made in the operation algorithm for generated sell orders: now the system generates sell orders but does not send them automatically for execution. The orders may be edited until they are executed or cancelled.

Limits control

New functionality

The letters sent automatically by the system after the restriction check now include information not only about breaches but also about the structure of the breach source.

It has become possible to make limited pre-trade checks for clients with risk management configured in the external system.

Commissions

New functionality

At exchange commission write off for MOEX trades settled in a foreign currency the system firstly automatically places a rouble cash or multiple currency account in the ‘account’ field. (The cash account is defined by payment and delivery trade accounts).

Price search order specified by a system user is supported at commission accounting.

Automation

New functionality

The ‘Volume in payment currency’ field is now always editable when editing the OTC trades to buy or sell securities and REPO trades. Also when editing fields ‘Cross rate date’ and ‘Days before payment’ the field ‘Volume in payment currency’ is automatically recalculated.

Security and performance

New functionality

The TLS protocol is supported when sending messages by email.

PnL calculation was optimized to accelerate report generation.

Integrations

New functionality

The new features are added in the integration with RU DATA database (Module of integration with RU DATA should be in the configuration):

  • import of asset types: open-ended mutual funds, interval mutual funds, closed-end investment funds, ETF, mortgage participation certificate, clearing participation certificate.
  • import of RCBIC and the ‘Bank of issuers’ feature.
  • import of perpetual bonds data.
  • the changes were made in the operation algorithm for assets which were not classified when being loaded: editing such assets with the ‘Error’ status it is possible to change manually not only an asset type but also a class.

Terminal tables ‘Trades’ and ‘Orders’ acquired new fields: ‘Trader’s ID in QUIK’ and ‘Trader’s code’. These fields may be imported and exported via Intermediate data base from/to QUIK.

A new loading algorithm is supported for coverage ratio of short positions. The algorithm was modified because of changes in the structure of files with correlation ratios made by the Moscow Exchange.

When Bloomberg DataLicense QORT Program Interface is used the source of price information may be specified explicitly in Bloomberg service.

If there are any errors while uploading data on trades to Avancore back-office software they are shown in the system. Also the system checks completeness of essential parameters for trades with bonds.

System usability

Trader-manager has a new convenient form to view data – portfolio organizer. The latter represents a few windows reflecting the structure of a selected portfolio, its parameters, aggregated indexes, limits and working orders.
The functionality of portfolio organizer is under further development:

New functionality

It has become possible to execute portfolio organizer orders from the pool orders table

When performing restriction checks users with certain rights may set the order status ‘Control passed’ even if the order results in violation.

All elementary orders connected with the needed order may now be viewed in the current orders table.

The current orders table acquired a menu parameter ‘Copy’ which allows to make a new trade order with parameters copied from the current order (‘price’, ‘quantity’, etc.). All these parameters may be edited.

When generating OTC trades with bonds based on a portfolio organizer order it is now possible to specify volume of ACI.

The table of trade orders opened from a portfolio organizer displays additional information on available cash: tables ‘Available to buy’ and ‘Available to sell’ were added. These tables include the account number and maximum quantity of securities available to buy or sell. The planned position for executed orders is taken into consideration.

Traders’ and asset managers’ order forms are highlighted so visually they are more user-friendly: if the ‘Buy’ button is chosen the area around has a red color, if ‘Sell’ – it is green. Not selected area is not highlighted.
