The ninth annual seminar by ARQA Technologies was held in Moscow

On February, 15 ARQA Technologies held its annual seminar in Moscow for its clients and partners.

According to the popular opinion of its participants this years’ seminar has become one of the most successful in its entire history. It was due to a well-organized discussion of such questions which are really topical for most part of market participants, as well as broad representation of the company’s partners (Russian and international marketplaces, market data vendors, technological partners). The format of the seminar allowed the participants to get answers to their questions in various forms - from presentations and question time, during the roundtable discussion and in the bounds of the exhibition.

The greatest interest and lively discussions were caused by Moscow Exchange and ARQA Technologies presentations as well as the roundtable discussion dedicated to T+2 trading mode.

Moscow Exchange presented to the seminar participants the main stages of progress for the project on transferring the securities trading system to the system with partial collateral and deferred settlement of trades – in particular, the schedule of launching the project, changes in regulation, information about preparation of the market participants to the launch. In the presentation of ARQA Technologies the variants of developing business models which can be implemented by financial organizations considering the new trading mode were presented. Active discussions of implementing the new trading mode continued at the roundtable where participants asked questions which were answered by the representatives of FCSM of Russia, Moscow Exchange, NCC (National Clearing Centre) and ARQA Technologies.

In other reports by ARQA Technologies the top-10 of program solutions which were most popular among clients last year, the overview of approaches to currency limitation in QUIK on the whole and at the currency market of Moscow Exchange in particular were introduced to the participants. One of the reports was dedicated to development of a best selling solution on the base of QORT platform – back office backQORT.

Another presentation which attracted the attention of participants was dedicated to ‘western’ directions in development of the company’s clients businesses – during the presentation ARQA Technologies shared its experience of using suitable software and technologies with the seminar participants. Besides, in this section with presentations about LSE as the single emerging market platform as well as about variants of accessing the LSE markets were delivered by LSE representatives. A separate presentation of Moscow Exchange was devoted to their plans as a series of major projects. The seminar drew the attendance of about 300 participants representing over 110 banks, investment and asset management companies.

The seminar also hosted an exhibition deployed by the company’s partners - Moscow Exchange, London Stock Exchange as well as Autochartist and QuantHouse.
