ARQA Technologies at the international exhibition and conference TradeTech Asia 2011

ARQA Technologies took part, as a speaker and an exhibitor, in the international exhibition and conference TradeTech Asia 2011, which was held in Singapore on November 16-17.

TradeTech Asia 2011 has become quite simply the biggest event of the Asian region devoted to the issues of developing trading technologies and improving technological infrastructure of Asian financial marketplaces.

This year the agenda was divided into two main directions which were conducted in the form of traditional conferences as well as panel discussions.

The first direction was dedicated to the issues concerning learning and measuring latency, implementation of low latency and ultra low latency solutions for trading and market data transferring and their impact on the exchange trading infrastructures, the technological architecture and business solutions of the market participants. The issues of implementing algorithmic trading and trading at dark pools were being discussed separately. Within the bounds of the second direction the principal emphasis was made on HFT technologies that are being appeared and developed in Asian markets, and their impact on the participants’ strategies and marketplaces in general.

The event gathered together more than 650 participants from Australia, England, Hong Kong, India, China, Korea, Russia, Singapore, the USA, Japan and other countries.

In the participant structure more than 300 attendees presented asset management companies and hedge funds. Also, the biggest Asian and European trading marketplaces (Tokyo Stock Exchange, BATS Europe, CME, Toronto Stock Exchange, Osaka Stock Exchange, Chi-X and others), big investment banks (Deutsche Bank, Citi Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Resona Bank and others), brokerage companies, interbroker technological networks, market data vendors and software developers took part in the event.

From ARQA Technologies, Danil Baburin, the Head of QUIK development, made the presentation ‘Pre-trade risk control in high frequency and low latency broker’s infrastructures’ in the conference part of the event. The presentation aroused the great interest among the participants – plenty of specifying questions were followed right after the presentation, discussions were continued at couloirs of the event.

At the exhibition part ARQA Technologies introduced the line of solutions for organizing DMA with online pre-trade control of operations – QUIK program complex as a risk server and solutions on the basis of FIX protocol (including low latency solutions for HFT systems) with the possibility of online pre-trade control of transactions. Besides, the possibilities of realization of pre-trade check solutions for the exchange trading systems were being discussed at the stand of the company.
