ARQA Technologies at the 9th international TradeTech 2009 exhibition and conference

ARQA Technologies took part in the 9th international TradeTech 2009 exhibition and conference, which was held in Paris on April 21-23, 2009.

TradeTech exhibition and conference is one of the main international events in the field of technologies for the financial markets operations, which this year brought together more than 300 companies and 1500 participants from all over the world.

In the exhibition part, big international and Russian ‘players’ have participated: brokers - Citi, KBS, Knight, Merrill Lynch, Nomura, Otkritie Securities Limited, Renaissance Capital, UBS; inter-broker technological systems - Bloomberg, Fidessa, Sungard, Ullink; foreign banks - BPN Paribas, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank; developers and vendors of technological solutions for financial markets. Also representatives of international exchanges - LSE, NASDAQ, NYMEX, NYSE – and the Russain exchange RTS took part in the exhibition.

Among themes suggested to the conference participants special attention was paid to changes in the structure of the global financial markets during the economic crisis and to the new requirements for technological platforms; to the issues of connectivity of different technological solutions; to algorithmic trading development; to the questions of transparency of ‘dark pools’ trading systems.

The core of negotiations and consultations at the stand of ARQA Technologies constituted the questions of integration between QUIK and technological platforms used by foreign brokers and vendors to provide access to the Russian exchange markets for the international companies.
