ARQA Technologies at HFT World 2013

ARQA Technologies took part as an exhibitor in the annual international exchange congress WEC 2013 which was held on February, 12–13 in London and delivered a report at a conference devoted to HFT.

The international exchange congress is one of the major annual events attended by representatives of exchanges and other trading venues as well as a wide range of their partners. This year’s event gathered 350 participants from 52 countries — exchange officials, regulators, professional market players, information and technology vendors.

One stream of the congress hosted HFT World conference devoted to questions concerning High Frequency Trading (HFT). The conference focused on the current state, technologies, problems and prospects of this phenomenon under more stringent regulation. In the first session if this stream ARQA Technologies’ director of business development Vladimir Kurlyandchik delivered a report entitled«Pre-trade risk control — unified solution for various trading infrastructures». In his report the speaker shared the experience about implemented projects enabling brokers to employ sophisticated online pre-trade check controls – the technology which allows them to retain the key advantages of HFT — low latency and high capacity. The report attracted keen interest of participants and helped start the following discussion about peculiarities and potential for HFT business in traditional and developing financial markets.
