Access Server

Access Server is a QUIK module for boosting the performance of the principal system server while serving numerous users.

Module functionality and operating principle

The module is used for horizontal scaling of QUIK system to service a large number of connected users. The recommended number of concurrent connections to one access server is up to 400.

The access server is connected to the principal QUIK server over TCP/IP protocol getting from the latter information that is then distributed to users in accordance with their rights. As the bulk of information delivered to users overlaps, this mode of delivery significantly relieves the burden on the principal server of the whole system.

Connection scheme

A user is connected to the access server in the same way as to the principal QUIK server, the only difference being IP-address parameters and port numeration in connection settings.
The access server works with standard QUIK Workstations, and mobile applications  — iQUIK, iQUIK-HD, QUIK Android as well as FIX program interfaces and Market Data Export Module.
