General-purpose interface to news providers

The General-purpose interface to news providers is a program interface (API) enabling generation of the user’s own news flow or news broadcast from a permanent source. Users see messages transmitted via the General-purpose interface in the ‘News’ window the same way they see newsfeeds supplied by information agencies.

The General-purpose interface creates a new data source or news feed, added by the administrator to the information agencies directory. The name of the data source shown to users is defined by the QUIK server administrator. Access to data from any new source is provided for each user individually.

The received newsfeed can be viewed in a special ‘News’ window available in all client applications.

The General-purpose interface comprises function libraries (DLL) that enable writing own programs for transmission of newsfeed to the QUIK server. The delivery package includes:

  • interface documentation;
  • example of using the interface — a Visual Basic program.
ARQA Technologies can adapt the General-purpose interface to the available news source upon the request of a broker. The time and cost of work depend on terms of reference.
