Alert dispatch module

The Alert dispatch module is intended for sending text message alerts to broker’s clients about the events.

Module Functions

The Module is intended for sending text message alerts to broker’s clients about the following events:

  • orders/stop orders execution/cancellation, 
  • changing market parameters of the instrument, 
  • periodic notification about the client positions status, 
  • PIN code receipt to start working with QUIK using two-factor authentication, 
  • receipt of notification from a broker/trader, 
  • current state of client’s limits at spot market, FX positions and restrictions at a certain time period, 
  • OTC orders execution/cancellation, 
  • trade execution, 
  • receipt of news by e-mail, 
  • server connection status change. 
The module can be used for email-delivery of messages of the following types to clients when the mentioned above events arise:

  • SMS messages to the mobile phones,
  • Push notifications to Android and IOS devices,
  • E-mail messages.
A broker, for its part, can use the Module functions to send notifications to clients — both addressed, for individual users, and mass alerts.

The Module allows setting limits on a number of SMS notifications sent to particular users over a period specified by broker. This functionality makes it possible to choose limits on a number of SMS notifications and a limit operation period (day, week or month). When the limit reaches a set value, sending of SMS notifications is blocked until the next period or until the limit is increased by a broker.
To use this module, the contract between a broker and mobile service provider has to be signed in advance. It is possible to use a reserve mobile service provider in case of delay in delivery of notifications through the main provider.

The Module can also be integrated with any provider by means of a program algorithm receiving messages in the universal format of the Module and sending messages to the external provider via an appropriate interface.

Method of Operation

  1. A user can set up conditions for sending notifications using a QUIK Workstation, webQUIK and mobile terminals (QUIK Android, QUIK Android X, iQUIK, iQUIK HD, iQUIK X).
  2. The condition of creating a notification is processed by the Module, and, after checking on the conditions, it sends a message to the mobile operator’s software and/or to the user’s e-mail.
  3. If the user uses mobile terminals (QUIK Android, QUIK Android X, iQUIK, iQUIK-HD, iQUIK X), then a notification can be delivered via push notifications to iOS and Android devices.
  1. Whereas text message alerts are processed at the QUIK server, a permanent connection to the QUIK workstation — an issuer of the instruction — is not required.
  2. The Module keeps complete records of processed users’ instructions, and can form a report on user request. To order and view a report a QUIK Workstation is used. A list of formed alerts can be viewed by a user in the Alerts Window. Active alerts can be canceled if necessary.
The Module is an additional application of the QUIK Server. The client part of the Module functionality is implemented in QUIK Workstation starting from version 5.17.

The indicated hardware and software requirements are minimal. With ample resources the interfaces may be installed on the same PC as the QUIK server. Any arising questions may be addressed to the QUIK support service.
