General-purpose interface to news providers

This is a programming interface (API) enabling generation of a user’s own news flow or news broadcast from a steady source. The user can see messages transmitted through the general purpose interface in the News window, the same way he sees the newsfeeds supplied by information agencies.

The general purpose interface enables formation of a new data source, newsfeed, added by the administrator to the directory of information agencies. The name of the data source shown to the users is determined by the QUIK server administrator. Access to any new source can be provided for each user individually.

The newsfeed received can be viewed in a special News window available at all client applications.

The general purpose interface comprises function libraries (DLL) that enable writing the user’s own programs for transmission of a newsfeed to the QUIK server. The delivery package includes:

  • Interface documentation;
  • Example of using the interface ( a Visual Basic program).
ARQA Technologies can adapt the general purpose interface to the available news source upon request of the broker. The time and cost of work are determined in compliance with the specification of requirements.
